The Pilot is a 3 floor establishment. The Pilot features live jazz matinees every Saturday afternoon. Our second floor ‘Stealth Lounge’ hosts private parties year round and overflow during our holiday season. Our rooftop patio ‘The Flight Deck’ is a massive 180 person patio that’s equipped with heaters and retractable awnings. We’ve got 20 beers on tap, an extensive menu and brunch on Sundays.
The Pilot has been a staple of the Bloor Yonge area for over 75 years now. First established as an ode to World War II pilots, it became the local watering hole to many during the thriving art music scene of the 60’s and early 70’s. Went on to be the go to spot for the SCTV crew, The Tragically Hip signed their first record deal, and a host of parties during TIFF’s Yorkville tenure. The Pilot has stood the test of time and change maintaining relevance. The Pilot doesn’t try to be anything else then what it is... “just a bar, the way a bar’s meant to be.”
As Yorkville aged into an opulent neighbourhood The Pilot kept its stake as the go-to laid back spot. Draft beer and delicious tavern eats reign over high-end cuisine and expensive wine. We have regulars who’ve been coming in for years and for a good reason. Customers become friends quicker than most places as The Pilot is the spot you can bet on for a good time.
Please check our website, www.thepilot.ca, our Facebook @thepilotrestaurant, and our Instagram and Twitter @thepilot_to, for updates about when we will be reopening.
